Julie's Sweets Review and GIVEAWAY!

Who doesn't love sweets? I know I love pretty much every kind, but sometimes I just want something home made. And when you have the time, energy, ingredients and SKILL to make home made goodies, that is great, but all too often, many people don't.

So what do you do? Well that is when you find a small company that makes their treats by hand and hand packages and ships them fresh.

Sounds hard to find, right? Well it's true it takes some real looking to find a company such as this, but they are out there, and it just so happens that I have found a great one.

Julie's Sweets has a variety of year round and seasonal treats to please anyone, all hand made with real, fresh ingredients, not artificial sweeteners and preservatives as most mass produced goodies have.

I had the pleasure of trying 2 kinds of treats from Julie's Sweets, and all I can say is YUM!

I tried the amazing frosted cake cookie.

This is an Orange & White. A variation of the classic Black & White(Which Julie also sells). This cake like sugar cookie(with lemon) is super moist, soft, buttery and delicious. Add the buttercream icing(Julie will do any color and changes for corresponding holidays).

This cookie was amazing. I love sugar cookies more than any other kind with the exception if ICED sugar cookies. It was like floating on a cloud. So good.

The Russian Tea Cakes
I had never tried a Russian Tea Cake prior to trying these, but I loved them. These are very soft and the almost melt in your mouth, very delicate and fancy tasting.

I find it very hard to describe the flavor and texture of these other than to say they are extremely tasty. The powdered sugar on top just really makes these perfect.

The Rum Balls

I had never had a rum ball before this either, but I do know that these rum balls are extra special in that the rum is NOT cooked out.(making these for adults only). And although I've not tried others, I know that most other rum balls cook out the alcohol.

I do not much care for the taste of rum(or any alcohol), but these were really good. If I love these as a non drinker, I know they would be fantastic to any of you rum lovers.

How awesome would these be for all of you holiday cocktail type parties, or as a gift for the rum lover in your life.

These are made with Captain Morgan rum too, the good stuff, so they are really high quality. They are also made to order. Seriously, what could be better?

Any  Julie's Sweets item would make an awesome gift, she has something for everyone and then some.

Now I have an extra special treat for all of you. You have the chance to win one of two awesome prizes from Julie's Sweets. 1 winner will get a dozen Russian Tea Cakes, and other 1 will win a dozen Rum Balls. All you have to do is enter the rafflecopter below(if you can stop drooling long enough). Good luck.
