SoftTiles Review

When you have little ones, probably the most import thing that you deal with is safety. Kinds are fearless and reckless when it comes to playing(at least mine are).

My little girl runs around, spins, climbs, jumps, flops to the ground and every other dangerous thing she can do, and she takes after her brother. He is the exact same way, and she copies him to a tee.

As much as I worry about both kids, it's a miracle that I have not driven myself crazy by now(not that I am far from).

Although accidents can happen no matter how careful you are or what precautions you take, the more safety features you have in use, the better off you are.

But traditionally, some areas are harder to protect than others. Things like outlet covers and cabinet locks are fairly simply, but a kid can get hurt just by falling. The ground is not too forgiving, especially when you don't have carpeting.

Area rugs help provide a little padding, but unless you secure them, they actually become more of a hazard because they will go sliding when you walk(or especially run) on them.

There are mats and other things you can use to protect from falls and such, but they are not that good looking.

But I found the perfect way to protect my daughter, protect her floor and make her room look fabulous.

SoftTiles mats are Interlocking Foam Floor mats. They are super thick and durable, and premium cushioned for comfort and safety. SoftTiles are fast and easy to assemble, and are Non-toxic.

They come in so many styles and colors. Everything from alphabet to animals to plain to shapes and every color you could want. And you can mix and match to create any design you want.

I got one for my daughter's room and it is AMAZING!

Choosing a style was so difficult since they are all so beautiful, but I ended up going with the Safari Animals Set in Purple, Pink, and White:

This 6.5' x 6.5' mat is made up of 9 Animal Mats (3 Monkey, 3 Giraffe, 3 Elephant) with 16 side borders (4 Purple, 8 White, 4 Pink) and four pairs of corner borders (2 Purple, 2 Pink).

It all comes in one very moderate sized box and is so easy to put together. I did it myself in about 5-10 minutes. Very simple. The pieces fit together just like a puzzle.

It really transformed the room. It looks completely different(so much better). Check it out.

Before

After

Is that not one of the most adorable things you have ever seen? I love it!

The animals are so cute and the colors are so girly and beautiful. They go together so well while still providing the contrast that makes this really POP. It is just so fabulous.

I would have loved to have something like this as a kid. I'd even love my own now. I think I was just as excited as she was. Although, maybe not, because she LOVES it.

Now she can run, dance spin and play with her toys safely and comfortable, AND in style. She loves the mat and enjoys playing on it as well as with it.

At first, I don't think she knew it comes apart, but once again, big brother sets an example. He loved it and as soon as he saw it exclaimed, "New Mat. PUZZLE!" "Puzzle Mat" and them proceeded to remove the cutout animals and make noises with them(Monkey-Ooh Ooh Ah Ah).

She thought it was the funniest thing ever and was laughing hysterically. I had to practically drag my (Autistic nearly 6 year old) son out of there just to keep him from taking it apart completely. He is obsessed with puzzles and plays with it every chance he gets.

I want to get him one that spells out his name or something that he can use just to play with since his room is too cramped for using one as a floor mat to do much good. I know he would love that.

The quality of these SoftTiles mats is incredible. They are so cushiony and durable. They will really withstand the abuse that I know my kids will inflict. In fact, I had half expected this to be ruined by now, but it still looks brand new, so that alone is enough to tally sell me as if everything else was not incredible enough.

If you have a very small child, there would be great for those crawling or just learning to wank, but they are really fabulous for anyone at any age.

I could just see myself exercising on one of these babies, and it would be awesome. A yoga mat is nice, but why not a yoga floor? That sounds so much better doesn't it?

I think that SoftTiles would be a wonderful decor piece for ANY room. I can't get enough, and I hioghly recommend them, especially for(but not exclusive to) children.

You can buy SoftTiles directly from their site, or you can also buy select styles on Amazon. I know a lot of you that often get Amazon gift cards and this would make great use of them.

You can even get inspiration with SoftTiles ideas. And Follow them on Pinterest and Facebook to be sure you never miss anything exciting.

*Although I received this mat at no cost to facilitate a review, all opinions are 100% my own*

  2. I love the designs, soft tiles are the best. I have them in several rooms, including my kitchen. Less expensive than the mats sold for kitchens and easy to clean when you spill things on the floor!

  6. Ohh Ya I have had something like this when my son was little and they are cool, however it never covered the area that one does! The colors are good something to make them look at it and say this is a monkey and make the sound! That's Great!! Learning and Safe!

  13. I am a regular reader of your post. I appreciate with you.
Thanks for sharing the blog and always keep it.This is important because you will have to custom-cut certain tiles to match consequently for the preset ground materials.
