MOTORWORKS Review

With my son being autistic, he is very caught up in the digital world. His favorite activity is the computer. While he often plays educational games and watches educational children's programming online, he also views and plays entertainment only(still kid friendly) content as well.

As much as he loves it, he sometimes gets frustrated with the games if he does not win, and that always upsets me. I never want my child to be unhappy when I can help it, and although I don't always let him get his way, there is certainly no need for him to be upset by something that is meant to be fun.

That is why I try as much as possible to find toys and games that draw him away form the computer. I can always  make him get off, and I do when needed, but I would much rather him do something else because he truly enjoys it, not because he is forced to.

With the holidays already casting their shadow, I am especially looking for great activities that are not only great for my son, but for all kids. I love sharing great gift ideas with all of you. I found a company that has some really fun toys, and I am excited to tell you about it.

MOTORWORKS from Manhattan Toy is so cool.
MOTORWORKS are toy cars. They are made of wood, so they are not only durable, but very unique since most toy cars are metal or plastic.

I got the Race Pace Power Pack 2.0:
They are customizable with easy snap on accessories and kits, like the Top Fuel 2.0 Accessory Kit:
These cars are so awesome. They look very cool right out of the package, and look even more awesome when you add the accessories.

I love that the Race Pace Power Pack includes accessories already.
The Top Fuel 2.0 Kit is really rockin' though. It makes the car look so tricked out.
Of course, the important thing is whether or not my son likes them or not. Naturally, he LOVES them. As soon as he saw the box he came running from the computer. That was so great to see.
I love that he was able to add the accessories himself. They just snap in place. It is so simple. He does not need something that will be frustrating, so I love that this is effortless. It helps to build his confidence when he can do something without help.
He had so much fun playing with his new cars. He loved customizing them, "racing" them and crashing them. They are super durable. I know that no matter how much he abuses them, they will stay in perfect shape.

He beamed with pride as he showed them to daddy, and that was so heartwarming. Even if that was the only pro(which it clearly is not), it would still be beyond worth it just for that moment.

He played with them until bedtime(it was evening when he got them, but still), and did not even think about the computer at all. I am so glad he loves a toy that is basic. It is entertaining and keeps him busy, and it doesn't need flashing lights, loud noises or WiFi to do so.

So many kids nowadays have all but abandoned the classic toys that we grew up with. This is a fun and updated way to bring them back. MOTORWORKS would make a great holiday gift for any young boy(or girl). My hubby even loves these and he is 44. If you are starting to gather gift ideas(or even shopping already), I highly suggest MOTORWORKS from Manhattan Toy.

Be sure to like Manhattan Toy on Facebook, so you don't miss out on anything exciting(especially with the holidays upcoming).

*Although I received these at no cost to facilitate a review, all opinions are 100% my own*
