Save Energy and Money with ENERGY STAR & Best Buy

Did you know that October is Energy Awareness Month? If you didn't, don't feel to bad, neither did I. In our house though, every month is Energy Awareness Month because when we moved to our new home in 2011 we made sure that all of our lights and appliances are ENERGY STAR® certified products.

We knew that switching to ENERGY STAR certified products would save us money, but we did not realize that it would make the significant difference that it has made. Our monthly utilities have decreased by over $100, and that is even with us actually using more lights and using our appliances more frequently(since we had our daughter).

It makes me really angry with myself when I think of how long we payed outrageous energy bills when we could have stopped it by simply getting ourselves better products.
