Did you know that October is Energy Awareness Month? If you didn't, don't feel to bad, neither did I. In our house though, every month is Energy Awareness Month because when we moved to our new home in 2011 we made sure that all of our lights and appliances are ENERGY STAR® certified products.
We knew that switching to ENERGY STAR certified products would save us money, but we did not realize that it would make the significant difference that it has made. Our monthly utilities have decreased by over $100, and that is even with us actually using more lights and using our appliances more frequently(since we had our daughter).
In celebration of Energy Awareness Month, Best Buy has partnered with ENERGY STAR to save you money on products that will save you money.

The average home's annual energy bill is $2,200. Energy efficient products vastly reduce that. The money you will save in the long term is amazing, but with Best Buy saving and
ENERGY STAR Rebates, you can save a lot up front as well. Visit the Best Buy Online Rebate Finder to see rebates available in your area.
Now is the perfect time to upgrade to a new energy-efficient appliance, TV or computer so you can save money on your energy bill. Best Buy has over 2,300 unique ENERGY STAR certified products available in stores and online.
With such a huge selection and such wonderful Best Buy prices there is no reason to put it off. The money you will save on your energy bill will end up paying for your new investment, not to mention the amazing rebates you can take advantage of while they last.
What are you waiting for? the longer you wait, the more money you waste on an necessarily high energy bill. Believe me, had we known the difference we would see in our bill, we would have gone with ENERGY STAR certified products long before we got this home.
It makes me really angry with myself when I think of how long we payed outrageous energy bills when we could have stopped it by simply getting ourselves better products. I mean, who doesn't want newer, easier to use products anyway? That along with lower bills, rebates and all around great prices from Best Buy, you'd have to be crazy not to take advantage.
It is just so simple, Go Green to Save Green.
