Like last year at this time, the world is still in an interesting state of limbo. It's ironic that while we have new reasons to be hopeful, like vaccines, the severity and length of the pandemic we've endured thus far has taken the hope that we previously had, that it would all end soon.
But still, life goes in, even when we have to adapt. Spring is still a time of new growth. I love to celebrate this time with a positive change. Obviously, spring cleaning is a popular choice, and I try to put some effort toward that, but I hate cleaning and I want something that's brings joy.
In recent years I have been focusing on plants. I have never had a green thumb, but I can handle low maintenance plants. It is such a fulfilling thing, to care for something and watch it grow and bring beauty into its surroundings.
What I have had the most success with is cacti and succulents. They are great for indoor decoration. I have a few that are several years old and still thriving. It is a small feat for some, but for me it feels like an accomplishment. It also helped build my confidence to expand and add more plants.
I still don't know much about plants, though, so I seek guidance wherever I can, especially before deciding which types to purchase. The Plant Shed has been great in that endeavor. They not only sell flower arrangements and plants for all occasions, but they offer garden design and several other services. They are extremely knowledgeable and willing to help.
If you are looking for top notch plant and flower services I highly recommend checking out any of the Plant Shed New York City locations. I am confident they will be able to exceed all your expectations. I'd even classify them as one of the best NYC florists.
Even if you are not looking for plants right now, I hope that you are sowing seeds of positive change into your life and always being a source of beauty for the world around you. As always, be safe and be kind.
