Betty Lou's Review and GIVEAWAY!

I am a food lover. I like to find the best product possible. Not only in terns of taste, but also quality and health as well.

Although I do not have any food allergies, I understand how horrible it must be for those that do, especially widespread allergies such as Gluten and Dairy.

That is why I love to try those allergy friendly foods whenever I have the opportunity, to find the best ones. And so many things I have tried were not good at all.

So finding a brand that makes Gluten Free and Diary Free(many that are both) snacks that actually taste good is something worth talking about. Betty Lou's is a company that I just have to share.

All of the Betty Lou's products I tried are really good. If I did not know these items were Gluten/Dairy free, I could never have guessed. The flavor and quality is very rare among any snacks, let alone restricted diet ones.

I love that not only are there multiple flavors, there are actually multiple product types as well, making for a very nice selection.  The variety makes snacking fun and interesting, without risk of snack boredom. 

Fruit Bars:

 I tried Blueberry, Strawberry and Apple Cinnamon but Betty Lou's also offers Cherry and Apricot.

I love all of these yummy fruit bars. They are similar to a Nutri-grain bar, only way better quality and Gluten Free of course. They are also dairy free. They definitely are not flavor free though, they are really good.

The fruit tastes fresh and delicious, and really tastes like fruit, but jelly or sugar mush. The "crust" part is soft and chewy with a light yet delicious flavor.

These are perfect for quick breakfasts or to pack for snacks or lunch. They are perfect for kids who will love the yummy baked good aspect. And you can feel good knowing they are getting real fruit and grains.


Nut Butter Balls:

I tried the Almond Butter Ball, Coconut Macadamia Ball, and the Peanut Butter Ball. They were so yummy. I love almonds, so the almond butter one was my favorite, but the others were right on it's heels.

They texture is really nice. The inside is firm yet smooth and slightly chewy, while the outside is coated in crunchy nuts. The combination makes for a really unique snack.

The individual packaging makes them great for eating on the go, and the protien provides the filling energy you need to keep you going all day. The Gluten Free aspect just makes them even sweeter.


Angell Bars:

Gluten Free Angell Bars come in 3 varieties: Dark Angell, Angell Crisp and Snow Angell.

Although I am not a big fan of Dark Chocolate, I did like the Dark Angell bar. Not as much as the other two of course.

The Angell Crisp was really good. Smooth and creamy with just the perfect crispy goodness.

But my favorite was the Snow Angell Bar. It is white chocolate with a creamy and sweet coconut center. One of the best candy bars I've ever had.


Chocolate Protein Shake:

This yummy chocolate Protein shake can be made in seconds simply by mixing with water. It has 20g of protein and a super creamy consistency and a sweet and delicious chocolate flavor.

Just as good or better than any nutrition shake I have tried. I love the convenience of the single serve packets. The fact that is is sugar, lactose, gluten and hormone free is unbelievable.


Individually and as a whole these products are fantastic. If you need(or want) to eat Gluten Free(or Dairy free etc.) then I strongly recommend Betty Lou's. You will fall in love with the quality, variety and overall deliciousness of these snacks.

Spice Up Your Style in Old Navy Dresses this Fall!

As a proud member of Crowdtap and the Old Navy Style Council, I was selected for the wonderful opportunity to bring a friend to Old Navy where we could each choose the dress of our choice for FREE.

I was sent 2 coupons each good for any dress from Old Navy(excluding clearance). In return, all I had to do was go shopping and have fun, and then write up a summery of my trip(selection, service, quality, etc) so they can make sure they are serving their customers the best way possible.

I was so excited to be chosen for this. I love Old Navy, but dresses are not something I normally wear, therefor I rarely purchase them for myself. I knew it would be fun shopping for a dress, but I was worried I would not find anything that I liked.

When we arrived, we noticed there was a great selection, but I was still not sure I would find the perfect dress.

We tried on ton of styles. It was so much fun helping each other pick ones to try and getting opinions to help us decide. I always have a hard time deciding n fashion, so it was great to have a second opinion.

 All the dresses were so cute. I definitely did not have a problem finding a dress that I loved. The problem I had was choosing just one. I really liked all the ones I tried on, but 3 of them were the front runners. It was impossible to choose only one, so I bought one too, and plan to go back for the third.

I chose the Striped Sweater dress and the Black dress with the pink tank(not the wrap dress). My other favorite was the black one with the pink belt, and I know it will be mine.

My friend Angela chose the Striped sweater dress as well, in the gray.

What is just as wonderful as the styles, is the quality. The fabric of all the dresses was really nice. Soft, slightly stretchy to fit perfectly, thick enough to hold up, but thin enough to be super comfortable. These dresses will really hold up well and wear well with no fuss. 

We had so much fun looking at the accessories too, and had to get a few to make our new dresses really pop. It is nearly impossible to go to Old Navy without finding tons of stuff I have to get.

I know we will be going again soon. We were already talking about or next trip before we even left the store.

My son is autistic and VERY picky about what he will eat. Most foods he will not even allow near him, let alone taste, but he ate these right up. He likes popcorn, so I know he would like these, but I was worried he would not give them a chance since they were new to him, but he dove right in. 

I don't know if it was the bag design(he loves pirates) or the goodies that came along or the look of the product itself that made him decide to try Pirate's Booty. But whatever the reason, we are both glad he did. I was able to send Pirate's Booty with him in his lunch(which usually consist of 2 of the following(one meat and one non): rolls, chicken nuggets, pre-cooked bacon or goldfish crackers) The teacher was really surprised when he ate Pirate's Booty at school and asked me what it was.

My husband loves Pirate's Booty too, and had replaced his usual potato chips with it(until we ran out). That really made me happy since he is not a one serving kinda guy and even one serving of potato chips is not very good.

Even my 14 month old munched on Pirate's Booty. She usually has to try whatever anyone has, but she only actually eats some things. This is something she ate multiple times, even kind of asking for it(by grabbing the bag and saying "a yah"-meaning yes).

I love beauty products of every kind, but body care is my favorite since I don't use cosmetics and things daily. 

Taking care of your skin is very important. You only get one body and you get out of it what you put into it. That is why I love to use products that feel good for the moment, but also nourish and fortify skin for lasting beauty.

Sometimes getting the best of both worlds is hard, so you have to trade off or double up. That is not my style. I need to have my cake and eat it too. That is why I love True U Organics.

I am in love with this product. It is everything I adore. Scrubs are my favorite skin care products. I love sugar, esecially brown sugar, and I especially love COFFEE.

This smells amazing. The perfect morning pick me up. It scrubs deeply but mildly and leaves my skin looking radiantly bright and healthy. It also makes my other facial products more effective as it allows them to be more easily absorbed.

This is also great on your body. I just hoard mine for my face so it will last longer, but I am buying more for my body soon.

If you are a scrub lover, you have to try this product. You will fall in love too.

  

Cocoa Masque:

Ingredients: Raw organic cocoa powder, *yogurt powder, *honey powder, cinnamon powder, *coconut milk,  bentonite clay
*Whole ingredients dried by the process of removing water

This masque is really wonderful. It is also very unique as it comes in powder form. Not only does that eliminate the need for preservatives, it also means more product since many other masques are 50% water. All you do is mix 2 tsp. of the powder with 1 tsp of water(or liquid of your choice) and apply.

Raw Cocoa is super high in antioxidants, Yogurt kills bacteria and breaks up dead skin cells to leave your skin bright and soft.

This feels super amazing on my skin, but after using it, it is even better. My skin was super smooth and youthful looking. It felt bouncy and dewy. It smells wonderful too.



Aloe Skin Refresher:

Ingredients: *Aloe vera gel, Rose Water *Apple cider vinegar,  sweet almond oil, rosemary essential oil,  grapefruit seed extract, carrageenan (natural thickener from seaweed), citric acid (natural ph stabilizer)
*Certified Organics


I love skin refresher products. I use during the day to give my skin a boost in between cleansing/ moisturizing. This amazing product restores  PH balance, removes cellular debris, controls excess oil, brightens and hydrates the skin. 

Rosewater and rosemary essential oil are natural astringents to refine pores, which is great because my pores are huge. Polysaccharide enriched Aloe Vera increases collagen production to keep skin radiant and tight. I love the light refreshing scent.



Goat Milk Soap(Mint):

This soap is wonderful. Goat milk contains alpha-hydroxy acids such as lactic acid which help remove dead skin cells from the skin’s surface.This leaves new cells on the surface of your skin that are smoother and younger looking.

Goat milk also contains many vitamins, but is particularly high in Vitamin A, which is necessary to repair damaged skin tissue, and maintain healthy skin. Vitamin A provides anti-aging properties and helps to control acne; also making it a wonderful face cleanser.

I hate to even call this soap since when I think of soap I picture tight, dry skin that has a nasty soap scum residue. And this is the antithesis of that.

This soap feels so creamy and luxurious, and it also smells incredible making for a truly pampering experience.

As much as I love all of these products, I think this soap would be the ideal gift(stocking stuffer) for anyone since it is more gender neutral than the others. I know my husband loves this soap, and he needs to get his own.


Shea Body Butter:

Ingredients: Raw shea butter, Olive oil, Coconut oil, Sweet almond oil, Castor oil, vitamin e oil, essential oil blend (sweet orange oil, lavender, sweet basil, peppermint, roman chamomile, patchouli)    
*Organic and cold pressed oils used

This body butter is amazing! It is so rich, creamy and thick(but not too thick). It absorbs beautifully but skin feels soft and moisturized all day. It smells great and makes your skin healthy right away and long term.

Using this body butter gives my skin a nice healthy(subtle) glow and makes dry winter skin just an old memory. 

This is a must have body care item for women everywhere. Would be prefect as a stocking stuffer or small gift(for teachers, neighbors, postal workers etc.).
