Valentine's Gift Guide

Love is in the air! That's right, it's almost Valentine's Day. If you are not yet prepared, fear not; I have a comprehensive list of gift ideas sure to dazzle any valentine.

Women:

POMP 

Flowers aren't exactly an unorthodox choice, but they are a staple for a reason. Who doesn't love flowers? I think the main thing is to choose flowers you know she loves, not just grab a generic dozen roses. POMP Flowers has so many gorgeous arrangements, like this fabulous "Cotton Candy" bouquet.

Jachs NY is a leader in men's clothing. Quality, style, versatility, value, Jachs has everything. While any of their items would make a wonderful gift, I suggest a simple, yet refined staple piece, like the Classic Waffle Crewneck. I always opt for black unless buying multiples, but they offer it in Navy, Grey, Charcoal, and Ivory as well.

 

Foodies

Cookie & Candy Pop

Cookie and Candy Pop have become one of my favorite snacks ever. It is like kettle corn to the extreme. The flavors are so fun and exciting. My favorites are Butterfinger, Nutter Butter, and Twix, but literally all of them are excellent. So sweet and perfectly crunchy; this stuff is addictive. Don't expect a bag to last beyond one sitting.

Mackenzie Limited

Blow them away with beautiful and indulgent treats from Mackenzie Limited. There are so many wonderful options, but I would most recommend the amazing Linzer Heart Cookies and the Petit Fours. Both are insanely rich, moist, and delectable.

 

SusieCakes

I love a good cake. It sounds simple, right? But I have actually had a hard time finding a truly good cake. Especially in classic flavors. Susie Cakes rose to the challenge, though, and blew my expectations out of the water. I got the Vanilla Celebration Cake, and it is so delicious! It is so rich, but not overly sweet, and it's dense, but super moist. My favorite texture. This cake is perfect!

Le Gruyère AOP

Desserts are great, but they're not everything. For a more savory experience, how about an indulgent fondue? La Gruyère AOP is known as 'the world's best cheese' and has the World Cheese Award to prove it. I may not be an expert on the subject (aside from routinely eating my body weight in cheese), but I would have to agree. Whether you gift the cheese in a gift basket, or prepare a fancy candlelit dinner for two, you can't go wrong with La Gruyère AOP.
 

Penne Straws

What do pasta lovers snack on? Penne Straws: the savory, crunchy snack that comes in fun pasta favors, like Mac 'N Cheese and Marinara. There is also a sweet side, with their Cinnamon Churro flavor. With Lemon Garlic and Sweet pepper rounding out the collection.

Nadine West - January

It's that time again. The most exciting thing to happen in January: a pretty pink package of fun and fashion. That's right, my monthly Nadine West delivery!! Kicking off the year right.

How fabulous is striped this long-sleeved dress? The color block on the neckline adds just the right pop of contrast. The fit is flattering but relaxes. It has POCKETS! It is so soft. This checks all the boxes.

Then there is this fun maroon Tank. I love the neckline detail. Just something small that takes this from casual to elegant. It may not be tank weather in any places, but in Florida, it almost always is. Plus, it's perfect for layering on colder mornings (that will become hot afternoons). Same buttery soft fabric that Nadine West is known for. 

Speaking of elegant. This classic black top is the prototype. It has just shy of half length sleeves, lovely 3-button accent, and a fabulous flowing bottom to give it the perfect shape. Accentuate the bust, be very forgiving on the stomach while still looking dressy. And it goes with everything.

Usually, the packages have one dress, 2 shirts, and two bottoms, but this one had three tops instead of the 2nd bottom. I don't generally love that, as I already have more shirts than pants. But, this extra shirt is super cute, so I don't mind. Love the V-neck and that casual cut, while not being boxy or frumpy. It feels very current, in a timeless way.

The jeans are great. They are quite similar to several of the pairs I have form Nadine West already. But you can't go wrong with a dark blue distressed jean. Especially when they stretch. These go with everything. They have a mid rise waist, but I do wish they (all the jeans of this type) were even higher. My fupa is not easily tamed.

And, last but not least, the jewelry. This time it's these fun, large hoop earrings. They are a bit heavy to wear all the time, but they are a great statement piece for occasional wear.

Nadine West - December

December is positively bustling. While there is plenty of excitement all month long, I am thrilled to share one of my favorite parts of every month. he Nadine West package reveal! It's like getting a gift every month! Without further ado:

First up is this darling little black dress. Always a staple, this one is fun and flirty with an open shoulder and a fun little peekaboo accent on the back neckline. It's the perfect length and soft as butter. So easy to dress up with a nice coat, shall, or bolero.

For something more colorful, there is the adorable floral tank. Long and flowy, and heavenly soft. Pairs perfect with jeans or leggings.

Sleeveless seems to be the theme of the month, and this gorgeous top is no exception. Light and whimsical, and (it this getting redundant yet?) also incredibly soft. Great with jeans or shorts, and looks great under a jacket. 

With cool weather arriving (tough not so much in Florida), they also sent this lovely cardigan. Open front, nice and light. Not suitable for a trek in the show (except under a coat), but perfect to cover shoulders (and hands; it has pockets!) on a chilly evening and add a little pizazz to any outfit.

And no great top is complete without some cute bottoms. Jeans in this case. Not too far off from some of the other pairs I've gotten from Nadine West. But you can never have too many staples. 

And finally, you can't forget accessories. This fabulous gold leaf necklace sure fits the bill. Long, and bold, but not too flashy. 

The necklace will perfectly accent this lovely outfit. Seems I have found my new holiday look.
