Have you ever shopped for a woman you don't know super well? How about a woman you do know very well, but have no idea what to get her? I am sure we have all been there. I find it is usually fairly easy for me to choose something the recipient will like, but something they will like and something they don't already have(some variation of) and they will actually get use out of are two different things.

The Together Tote makes staying organized easy. I am basically one of the most unorganized people on the planet, and even I was able to bring a small measure of order to my life thanks to the Together Tote. It is practically a life saver for me.

Calling it a life saver might sound a bit exaggerated, and maybe it is, but only slightly, because it legitimately is a sanity saver. You see whenever we go anywhere with the kids for more than a few minutes, they are complete terrors. My son has autism and my daughter shows many signs of having it as well, at least in social aspects.

Therefore in any public location, they need all their surroundings to be very closely controlled to not cause sensory overload for them. Meaning things like their iPads or learning tablets, headphones, and other such items of comfort, as well as their specific foods and drink pouches(the only thing my son will drink) need to be at arms length at all times.

In the past, I wold always have to carry two bags. Literally, I would be walking around with two different, fairly large purses full of all  of their stuff(and still had no room for my stuff). Not only does that look ridiculous, it is very impractical. I would always have to dig through 2 different bags to find what they were asking for, which took longer.

Even more of a hindered is that having both hands/arms full like that made it very difficult to pick up my daughter when she needed me to, which is fairly often. Either I would have to set them on the ground multiple times, or I would hold her and them, and the bags would be smushing her and making her very uncomfortable(and therefore irritable).

Last year for the holidays, we visited my husband's family. It was the first time I had even met them, and my first impression was soiled because I was lugging around two bags. They saw it as me being some kind of supermom or something, which I am very grateful for, but to me it was just embarrassing.

We are visiting again this year, and thankfully, I now have my beautiful Together Tote. Does it not look like it could be a high end designer bag? It does, that barbecue it is high end quality. The handles are and trim genuine full grain leather, the body is bonded nylon, which is water a stain resistant. That feature in itself is huge for me. With my kids, it would be ruined within a week if not for the water/stain resistant aspect.

As gorgeous as the outside of this tote is, the inside is just as nice, which is a testament to the overall quality. Many bags just neglect the inside as if it were not important. I love the contrast of the golden lining to the dark black of the outside. Gold just screams luxury to me, especially with how beautiful the fabric is.

Nothing was overlooked on the Together Tote. As much as I love the style and the customization of that, the important thing was the fit, and I was worried I would mess that up. Even though it is custom it is custom to the measurements the customer enters, and I was convinced I would mess up.

Thankfully, the measurement section practically foo-proof. It is interactive and takes it step by step, using audio to tell you what to do and video to actually show you how and where to measure each specific area. The only other custom-order sits I have seen only have a chart to input measurements you have already taken(which is a disaster if you are not skilled in measuring already).

It fits him just how it should in every area. The only thing that is a bit off is the waist of the pants, which I measured a bit over on purpose because his weight fluctuates slightly, and I did not want them to get too tight. With a  belt, they are perfect too.

He loves the suit. He has only just tried it on once, and only for a minute to make sure it fit, but he really likes it, which is great because, as I mentioned, he is not a dressy guy. I wish I had a photo to show how sharp he looks in his amazing suit, but he works too much and has not yet had the chance to get fully dressed up. They fit my face perfectly. They are just the right shade, bold, but not too flashy. I actually like they way I look in them, which is amazing, since I never like the way I look, with or without sunglasses.

Like I mentioned before though, these are so much more than a stunning accessory, they are serious protection for my eyes. Not only to protect my eyes from signs of aging, but to protect my vision, which definitely needs protection. I had horrible vision until about 2 years ago. I literally could not see my hand in front of my face(not clearly).

I had Lasik, and now I can see nearly perfectly, but was told it was very important to wear sunglasses every time I am outdoors. I had not complied very well until I got these, and I really wish I had. The sun is horrible to my eyes, and they seem more sensitive to the sun after the surgery. And now it seems even bright screens(for long periods) really upset my eyes.

I certainly do not want to damage my eyes after finally getting them to work properly. I had vision problems since I was a kid. If I can protect my "new" eyes by simply rocking a stylish accessory, why would I not? Not only does this protect my eyes from damage, they make it easier to see in the sun, no unattractive squinting. They even help keep the heat out. Literally my eyes feel cooler, which is amazing.

I could seriously rave about Velvet all day long, and every word would be the truth, but none could every truly do justice to have fantastic these sunglasses are. It almost sounds generic for me to be speaking such praise, but they really are that wonderful.

Holiday Gift Guide: ANATOMIE Designer Activewear Review

As the mother of two very rambunctious kiddos, I am constantly on the move. Between cooking, cleaning, playing, chasing, and everything else I do on a daily basis, I find that my sense of style really pays the price.

I have always been very passionate about my personal style and focused a great deal on how I looked(not that it helped much). In my mind, I am still that way, but my appearance certainly does not reflect it. When I am just staying around the house, it is a miracle if I am not in pajamas or sweats.

Part of the reason I don't try to wear nice clothes around the house is because every day without fail I end up getting covered in something. Whether it is food that I am cooking, the mess I am trying to clean, the cleaner itself or one of the various unidentifiable sticky messes transferred to me by my kids, one thing is consistent, it is never good for my clothing.

As bad as it is that I usually look like a bum in my own home, if I was to wear all my "nice" clothing here, it would all get ruined and I would look terrible even when I did try to "dress up".

Another very important reason I wear such frumpy clothing at home is comfort. Not so much that I need to feel cozy or anything like that, but I need to be able to reach and bend and carry and chase and everything without my clothes being a hindrance.

and lastly, I stick to my "mommy clothes" in order to remain demure. The last thing I need is to bend over for one of my kiddos only to have something pop out. Too many times "nice" clothing also means revealing, and not only do I not want that image for myself, I also feel very uncomfortable in clothing like that.

I have been feeling bad about how I let my style slip away from me, right now especially. It is the time of year that is the most hectic with school, holidays, entertaining, etc. As if the chaos of this time of year wasn't enough, it is also the time most focused on family gatherings and photos, making it that much more important to look your best.

Having said all that, I realized that there had to be better way to fit my functionality needs as well as my style wishes.so I did some searching, and I actually found it. ANATOMIE Designer Activewear.

Just as the name says, ANATOMIE is designer activewear. Meaning it is every bit as stylish as runway fashions and infinitely more practical. The ANATOMIE philosophy is "Functional Fashion", and it fits perfectly. I couldn't describe it any better than that.

As soon as I saw the gorgeous pieces on their website, I knew that ANATOMIE was perfect for me. If I did not know that these were functional items, I would assume it was just another stunning designer collection. The fashion certainly does not suffer in order to balance the function.

I got a top and a pair of pants, and they are both fantastic.

Monte Carlo Long Sleeve Top(in Navy):

The "white" part is sheer, so this is to be work over a tank or camisole. Whit the shirt being partially sheer, I was a bit concerned that the shirt would be stiff or flimsy feeling, but it actually feels amazing. It is soft and slightly stretchy so it moves with your body and looks flattering even if you can't be posed like a Barbie doll.

I really like that is is ling(but not too long) I don't like worrying that my whole shirt will ride up if I bend over or life my arms. I also love that it is high cut over the bust, but the neckline is open enough that it does not look to stuffy. 

Madonna Stretch Woven Cargo Pants(in Navy):

These pants are fantastic. They are my new favorite pair. They are so comfortable. The stretch so they form fit without being too tight. They stay up, which seems like a given, but is quite rare. Almost all the pants I would give a little show if I bend over, these stay exactly where they are supposed to be.

I love the zippered pockets, it is just a little extra detail to make these look more stylish and give them more of a younger feel than a dress style pant.

The wide flare at the bottom is what I love most though. I adore flared pants, and these are very nice. They are not overly large, but they are not too small either(many so called "flared" pants look like boot cuts).

These are on the level of yoga pants in terms of comfort and flexibility. I can do anything in these pants. I could even do a split.

What is best about these two pieces, though, is how fabulous they look together.

It is a demure, yet stylish and feminine look. Good-bye "hobo" look, hello ANATOMIE style!

Best of all, even my husband noticed and said I looked fantastic. He even wanted to take a photo of his own.

It's not like he never compliments me, but it is rare that he will say something specifically about an outfit. Most compliments are usually toward me in general. When he emphasizes something specific, it is a big deal.

Now my only problem is I need some more ANATOMIE items to complete my wardrobe, because I am totally hooked now.

Open Your Home to Family - Not Bugs

The holidays are right on our heels. Especially Thanksgiving. can anyone believe that Thanksgiving is ONE week away? Before I can blink I will have practically every one I ever met at my house for some holiday function or another.
