Corset Chick Review and GIVEAWAY!!

I have always loved corsets. From 17th Century themed clothing to Gothic style corset and everything in between, I love them all. Corsets are just so beautiful.

Oddly enough, as much as I adore corsets, until now I have never even worn one.

I am not really sure why exactly, but I think much of it had to do with not being able to find a good place to get one. Good selection, quality and price are all huge factors for buying anything, but especially something like a corset.

The corset is so wonderful. It has hook and eye fastenings all down the front(not visible) and laces down the back to create not only the perfect fit, but to make it so much easier to put it on without help. It fits wonderfully without feeling too stiff or poking or anything.

I could have done with one size smaller as this closed completely without having to compress, but I know that this corset would have held everything in beautifully had it been smaller.

Like I said, it was easy to put on all by myself and it is surprisingly comfortable.

The skirt is wonderful. It is 15 inches long and features an elastic waist to make it fit almost any size perfectly. If fits underneath the corset so nicely that is really does look like a dress.

The skirt it so comfortable. I love that is is light and breathable without being to light or too sheer). I also really love that it is not too short. I would not wear a really short shirt, nor would one look decent on me.

I love how well these 2 items compliment each other, but I also love how versatile each piece is, to be paired with other items too.

I know I don't do this amazing outfit justice, but I love this "dress". It is everything I have always wanted and I feel so special when I wear it. It is just so much fun to play dress up in such a pretty corset.

 I tried this fabulous Whole Duckling.

As great as the duck is on paper, so to speak, I was really worried that it would be hard to cook and/or come out too dry or not very tasty.

But actually it really wasn't very hard at all. All I did was make a few slits in the skin, season it with (kosher)salt and pepper and roast it. 45 minutes breast side up, 45 minutes breas side down, and another 45 breast side up.

It came out FANTASTIC.

The skin was so crispy and incredibly delicious. The meat was Juicy and tender, and had the most succulent, rich flavor. I could not believe that I made it myself. It tasted just as good as any restaurant food I have ever tried.


And although duck is a fatty meat, free range, grass-fed meats are naturally leaner than grocery store meats.

Pizza Fit'n Free Review and GIVEAWAY!

As some of you may already know, I started a diet on Monday. This diet covers breakfast and luch, so any snacks and dinner are my responsibility.

I have tried to diet on my own and somehow always ate the wrong things(or portions), and ended up not seeing any results. So I was really worried that I would sabotage my diet with my dinner choices.

Snacks are fairly simple. I can have some fruit or veggies, maybe some Fat free cottage cheese or yogurt, and that should be fine.

But dinners are more tricky. You have to either make a recipe taking into account the nutritional information for each items and try to figure out how much you can have and what the total fat and calorie content ends up as.

And since my husband is not dieting, I would have to cook 2 meals and that is such a hassle.

As a busy mom of 2(and blogger), I needed something quick and easy. The quandary it also has to taste good so I don't feel deprived(which will make me break the diet).

When I first stumbled on Pizza Fit'n Free, I was immediately drawn to the idea of a Fat Free, Sugar Free pizza with under 250 calories, but I was skeptical that it would taste decent too.

I figured I would give it a try and at least it would be healthy and something to eat, but I did not expect a great tasting pizza.

When I cooked it, it smelled great. I became hopeful that it would taste ok. Well it tasted so much better than ok. It was FANTASTIC!!!! I swear I could not even believe this was a diet(let alone fat free) pizza. I mean obviously the portion not being huge shows that it is portion controlled, but just going by taste you would seriously never know this was so good for you. It's insane.

 
 The crust comes out so crispy and fantastic(better than any other frozen pizza I have tried). The cheese actually melts(unlike some fat free cheese), the sauce is so yummy, and the cheese really has flavor(which I was not expecting). I cannot stress enough how great this tastes.

And not only that, but it is actually a pretty decent size. I am used to eating like a pig, so obviously this is not a normal portion for me, but  I added some raw carrot sticks, and took my time eating, and it was actually a pretty good meal. I was full afterward, which really surprised me.

As good as it tastes I could have easily eaten 2(or maybe more) as a meal, but I did not have to and that was wonderful. This little baby has 14g of Protein, which I really love.

It is so easy to make too. It takes like 8 minutes(or less) to cook. They arrive frozen in dry ice, and you keep them in the freezer. Thaw(preferably) before cooking and cook. So simple.

This is the perfect go to for me for dinner now. I am so hooked. I look forward to it all day, and it is so worth the wait.

If you like pizza, you will love this. Diet or not. this is perfect for every pizza lover. You can even add toppings veggies for us dieters and meats and such for everyone else.

Brothers-All-Natural Review and GIVEAWAY!

I love to eat. Snacking is one of my biggest weaknesses. I obviously want to eat the healthiest choices, but taste and convenience often prevent that.

I do really like fruit, but keeping fresh fruit in the house is a challenge. And then most fruits have to be washed and cute and it just becomes a hassle.

I like snacks that I can just grab an go, especially for taking along. I am so the type to cut and apple and bag it and bring it on a trip to the beach(or wherever). I'll grab chips, pretzels, cookies or whatever that is pre-packed instead.

Clearly that is not very healthy. I always mean to eat better and always slip up because of issues like these.

However on Monday I will be starting a new diet, and it will be vital that I only eat very healthy snacks.

Thankfully, I recently discovered Brothers-All-Natural.

Brothers-All-Natural makes wonderful freeze-dried fruits as well as fruit and oats(50% oats 50% fruit, nothing else). They also make Potato crisps, but I have not had the pleasure of trying those yet.

The Fruit and Oats come in in great varieties. Strawberry-Banana and Mixed Berry:

I really love this product. It is so convenient since you just open the pouches(fruit and oat are in separate sealed packages inside) and add water right into the container. There is even a fill line so you don't need to measure anything. And if that was not cool enough, there is even a spoon(that folds in half) inside, so you can take this anywhere with a microwave and be good to go.

These tasted surprisingly good considering there is nothing added(no sweetener). I am so used to the fruit and cream instant oatmeal, and this tastes nothing like that. It tastes more real if that makes sense. The oats are very high quality, as is the fruit. I love that this is actually healthy. I do not eat plain oatmeal under an circumstance, but hated all the calories in the other fruited kind, so I basically stopped eating oatmeal.

Now I can have oatmeal again and not only will I not feel guilty, I will be so proud because I am eating healthy. 

There is one slight problem I have found with these...they are a kid magnet. Lol.  My 15 month old was like a moth to a flame. She probably ate more than I did because by the time I got the spoon out, she was already whining for more. She really loves it. And while that is great, I wish I could ever eat one myself.

The Fruit Crisps are amazing too. 

I tried several flavors, and I really like them all.

Peaches:

I love peaches, but have not eaten a fresh peach in a couple years. They are either not ripe or over ripe and they are so messy, it's such a hassle. These crispy little snacks are so great. Freeze dried peaches are harder to find than other fruits. I am so glad that Brothers-All-Natural makes this delicious variety.

These are sweet and yummy. Just the perfect amount of light crispiness. I ate them plain, but the'd be great with cottage cheese or yogurt.

Mandarin Orange:

I was so glad to see this flavor. I love Mandarin Oranges, but never even consider freeze dried oranges of any kind. I don't know it could be done.

These are really good. They are slightly tangy and wonderfully airy.  Such a nice treat.

Goofy Strawberry-Banana:

I love the Disney packaging choices. What a great way to get children to want these healthy snacks. Of course the great taste will have them coming back for more, but with children, getting them t try it the first time is the hardest, and this is so sure to help.

I love that this is Strawberry and Banana for those times you want more than one flavor. And of Course Strawberry and Banana make the perfect couple.

The strawberries are really good and taste so fresh, but I really love the bananas. The Freeze drying makes them perfectly crispy and enhances their sweetness. Very good.

Strawberry:

As I mentioned above, the strawberries taste really fresh. If you have ever had dried strawberries in cereal or anything, these are nothing like that. They are 100 times better. So delicious. 

These would be perfect to add to cereal. It will give it a great flavor and make even the most plain cereal exciting.

Mixed Berry:

The ultimate mix. Four delicious berries all together in one fantastic snack. This one may just be the healthiest with all of the antioxidants in the berries. Not to mention it is the biggest pop of flavors. This would be so good with some granola, in yogurt, or even on ice cream.

Mickey's Clubhouse Banana:

This was my absolute favorite! As I already mentioned, these are the perfect texture. More crisp than the other varieties since bananas are more dense. 

They are probably the sweetest variety too. I do not even really love fresh banana too much(but will eat them). I love these so much more than fresh. They are so good.

Mickey Mouse Apple:

Simple, classic, perfect. Apple is like the spokesflavor for freeze dried fruit. This is a classic done right. So delicious and fresh tasting. I love it!

Mickey Mouse Apple-Cinnamon:

Every bit as good as original apple, only the cinnamon steps up the flavor, making these even BETTER. They are yummy. Cinnamon adds so much flavor without the calories and junk that sweeteners or other flavors add.

I love apple-cinnamon anything, but these are right at the top, so perfect. 

I love how every flavor comes in an individually sealed pouch. The pouches really keep these super fresh. The packaging is so colorful and inviting, making them super appealing, especially for kids.

The Disney packaging is such a genius idea. I even love the fun Disney characters on each pouch, and how each flavor gets a different character.

I love how I will not have to worry about spoiling fruit or buying damaged or under-ripe produce, or just getting anything that is not the best quality. Brothers-All-Naural worries about all that, and uses only the best for their products.

This is such a wonderful brand with top quality products. I recommend that everyone give them a try, for healthy living, convenient snack options, getting children to try something new, or just for a wonderfully delicious treat.

Mally Beauty Review

In the beauty department, I need all the help I can get. Thank the good Lord for cosmetics, or I would be very much out of luck. The problem for me is that I am so bad off, that not just any cosmetics will help. I need them to be good quality and high performance.

There are a few brands that I really love, and Mally is probably at the top. If you read my last review on Mally, then you probably knew that already.

I am so please to be able to do another review for you all, so you can see even more of Mally's awesome products in action.

I am so excited to share this wonderful variation on Mally's iconic Poreless Face Defender(which I reviewed last time). This Mally Shaded Liquid Face Defender is marvelous.

I think that this is even easier to apply that the original compact since you use your fingers and not a sponge(I am not the best at blending with sponges). This is perfect under makeup, over makeup and alone for sheer coverage.

I applied it alone so you could see how much it makes a difference all on it's own.

Note the pores on my nose, they vanished. I am very impressed by the effectiveness without foundation, but of course it is even more incredible when used with it.

This product is so light. It glides on your skin and seems to disappear. You are left with a baby soft, light as air finish.

It lasts all day, and you will forget you have it on until you look in the mirror and your still look great.

Best of all, this comes in 4 different shades: Light/Fair, Medium, Rich, and Tan. I reviewed Light/Fair and it matched my skin wonderfully, although I am probably closer to Medium. I love how this blends to well, that either shade would work.

This Shaded Liquid Face Defender is so amazing, it's like a secret weapon that can make any makeup look better.


I also had the pleasure of trying a wonderful City Chick Smokey Eye Kit(in Brownstone)

This kit contains a 4 piece eye shadow palette and an eyeliner. The eye shadow palette contains 2 shadows(highlighter, lid color, and crease color) and one(creamy) base.

I have only used eye shadow base a couple times(because it never really helped with other brands), but this one is incredible. I love that it is part of the palette so you have it there every time you apply your shadow. If it was a separate item, I would probably forget to use it.

I also love that this kit includes an eye liner, that way you can have your whole look covered(I did add a bit of mascara, but you don't need to). Many eye "kits" only contain eye shadow colors.

These colors are PERFECT for me. I always tend to chose browns for my eyes, and as often as I find colors I like, I always come back to brown(and usually only buy brown).

The base is so smooth and creamy, it glides on like butter, but then sets so it does not feel wet or greasy. It feels weightless and smooth. Because of this, the shadow goes on even smoother(which is hard since it's already so smooth) than it does alone.



I was actually surprised at how velvety and simply the shadow went on(although with Mally I should have known it would). It was so easy to apply(even for me).

This product stays on a crazy long time. It's not waterproof or anything, so it will get on your finger if you rub it, and yet your eye will still look great. It will not transfer, crease, smear, smudge or fade on it's own, and even washing it off is a little bit difficult because it tries to stay on.

I cannot wait to try out more Mally products. I can't get enough.

Obviously, I recommend Mally to anyone who uses cosmetics. The do cost more than some brands because they are very high end. And compared to other high end brands, they actually cost less. So if you want to use the best, use Mally.

Soda Sparkle Review and GIVEAWAY!

I am a true soda lover. I love pretty much any flavor, and love to change up flavors to keep some variety in my beverage consumption.

When buying soda from the store, that is often hard to do. My husband always drinks the same thing, so anything else is only for me. Therefore I do not want to buy 10 different 12 packs just so I can mix it up. 2 liters still take up too much room in addition to going flat too quickly.

So what does that leave? Well, thankfully I discovered Soda Sparkle. Soda Sparkle is i home soda making system that uses regular water and flavor syrups(along with CO2 chargers) to make fresh delicious soda in minutes, right in your own home.

I tried the Soda Sparkle Twin Bottle Starter Kit:

It is a really cool kit. It comes with 2 bottles(Light Sparkle and Extra Sparkle), 5 CO2 Chargers, 15 flavor syrups, and of course the system.

This is a very compact design that can me easily stored in any drawer or  cabinet. It is so simple to use. Each CO2 charger is single use, so there is no guessing about how much to use. Just insert a charger, screw on. Let stand bout 30 seconds. Remover chargersahake for 5 seconds, pour, flavor and drink.

So easy and quick, and the fizz level is always perfect. The flavors are really yummy, and also single serve.

I really love the apple flavor, but also the pineapple, and cola/lemon as well. Tonic flavor is also included, but I don't use Tonic.

My husband even tried and liked the flavors, although he still refers his usual brand(because he is set in his ways).

My autistic son thinks the whole precess is awesome and always wants to "help", but he will not drink soda, so I cannot speak to his enjoyment of it.

This system is great for anyone though. Kids will love being able to make their own soda(just as they love easy bake ovens and snow cone makers and etc.). It is just so fun.

It really cuts down on space, wasted(flat) soda, and trash/recycling. Not to mention the strain it saves not having to carry heavy bottles/boxes of soda.

Weather this is for you, or as a gift(perfect for college students), this will be an item that is used all the time. Give it a try, you'll be glad you did.

Mangroomer BizWipes and Ladygroomer WomanWipes Review

I review a lot of products, and many if not most are really great to have as recreational or "luxury" items. But I really love sharing with you all items that are more necessary.

BizWipes (from Mangroomer) and WomanWipes (from Ladygroomer) really fit into this category.

   

These wipes are really awesome. Each variety is specially formulated for either men or women. That may not seem like it matters, but it really makes a huge difference.

So I used the WomanWipes

As you can see from the packaging, these are Alcohol and Paraben free, hypoallergenic and dermatologist tested. They also contain Aloe and Vitamin E, are safe to flush and have a light, feminine fresh scent.

These wipes are very refreshing. They clean completely and leave you feeling fresh, not soapy or oily or anything. No residue is left, only a clean feeling and a fresh scent.

I have used other wipes and you can totally feel the reside left behind and it practically defeats the purpose of the cleansing.

The scent is light, yet strong enough to linger for awhile. They are perfectly moist without being too wet(which I hate) or too dry(which can irritate).

These are prefect for use on the go, after exercise, just random freshening, or as a follow up to TP all the time.

No matter when you will use them, you WILL use them. These little wipes fulfill a big need. Everyone needs to be clean, and sometimes you need to do it even when you don't have time to shower, these are perfect.

These smell wonderful! The scent is called Executive Scent, which is hardly descriptive of the actual scent notes, and I cannot really find a way to describe it accurately, but I love the way these smell, and so does my hubby.

He loves these. He has a very physical job outdoors(here in FL where it is ALWAYS hot and humid). He sweats and gets dirty daily at work, and he loves that he can bring these with him for when he uses the restroom for a quick freshen up, or immediately upon getting home before his evening shower.

He had never been interested in trying a product like this before, because there was not one(that we are aware of anyway) geared directly toward men, with a manly scent. However now that he's tried them, he is hooked, and says this is a product he could not imagine being without again.

I have used these on my son as well. He is 5 and autistic, so he has trouble getting himself fully clean after using the toilet. These are such a big help. He can get all the way clean, add some grown-up(daddy) scent, and feel like a big boy all at the same time. He loves them too. He always wants them now, even when he does not need one.
