A Perfect Thanksgiving With The Tender Fillet

Thanksgiving is coming up fast. If you are anything like me, you have been planning your meal since Halloween. I love food and, of course, I want everything to be perfect. My husband loves turkey, so I always make one. I, however, do not like turkey much. So usually I wall make something else for myself too.

I don't always pick one set thing. Some year it may be a pot roast, sometimes a lasagna, sometimes a ham. This year I wanted to make ham, especially since I had other family coming as well, and thought it would be a nice addition to my meal. I decided I would try the Honey Glazed Spiral Sliced Ham from The Swiss Colony.

 

It looked like a present when it arrived. That's because it truly is. I was impressed by this ham as soon as it arrived. It was the perfect size, packaged beautifully. It was delivered fresh.

Of course it just got better from there. I could not wait until Thanksgiving, I had to try it right away, so I did. It is already cooked, so it was incredibly easy to prepare. Just heat for a few hours in the oven, or even heat some slices in the microwave or enjoy cold.

I expected it to be really tasty, but I was honestly blown away by how incredible this ham is. I know it sounds like I am exaggerating, but this was literally the best ham I have ever tasted by far. It was slightly smokey, it was sweet and flavorful, it was tender and succulent and it was not overly salty, which is the biggest problem I have with hams usually (besides being dry or too chewy, which this ham is neither.)

This ham is just so delicious. I ate three helpings and only stopped because I was about to burst. I ate the leftovers for days, and usually I am not a leftovers type of person. I always mean to eat leftovers, but I hardly ever crave them. With this, it was all I wanted to eat. I even nibbled a bit cold when I was getting ready to heat some up, and it was so great cold that I decided not to heat it. I usually never eat anything like this cold.

I cannot say how impressed I am with this fantastic ham. You don't always get what you pay for. I've been let down by "premium" products a lot, so I was skeptical, but this ham truly is a gourmet delight. It is worth every penny and I am so glad I found it.

All my Thanksgiving are set from now on. Now I just need to replace this one, since I decided to eat it before Thanksgiving. I am so glad I did though, not just because I enjoyed it so much, but because now I know my Thanksgiving dinner will be perfect when I serve this ham.
