I have always loved Baskin-Robbins. Baskin-Robbins offers an extensive library of ice cream flavors, customizable ice cream cakes, frozen beverages and sundaes. What's not to love? Today, though, I love them even more. In honor of Veterans Day Baskin-Robbins will donate 11 cents from every ice cream scoop sold on Veterans Day to the USO in honor of all service members, veterans and their families. Baskin-Robbins is teaming up with the USO to support more than 1.3 million active duty service members around the world by encouraging guests to take a moment out of their day to say thank you.
It is always so inspiring when large companies like this decide to make a difference. Veterans Day, though, is especially close to my heart, since my husband is a veteran. I think it is so wonderful that Baskin-Robbins is being so kind to donate to the USO. Baskin-Robbins is the world's largest chain of ice cream specialty shops, with more than 7,400 retail shops in nearly 50 countries, including nearly 2,500 shops in the United States. This will generate lots of money for the USO and lots of recognition for our amazing troops and veterans.
I never need an excuse to enjoy some incredible Baskin-Robbins ice cream, but knowing it is supporting such a worth cause means there is absolutely no excuse not to indulge. My family and I are visiting Baskin-Robbins after dinner tonight. We will all get double scoops and I will probably get some extra scoops to take home for later. The promotion goes beyond just buying scoops today; guests can text THANKYOU to 50555 and send a message to our servicemen and women. Baskin-Robbins will also celebrate the military community all month long with a special Camouflage Waffle Cone and Waffle Bowl, which are decorated green, brown and tan.
What could be better than all your favorite ice cream flavors served up in a fresh, delicious, camouflage waffle cone? You know you want one...or five. What are you waiting for? Your troops need you. The USO needs you, and you need some amazing Baskin-Robbins ice cream.
