Holiday Gift Guide - ClickBlock

*This post was created in partnership with Mom Buzz Media.  I received this product at no cost to facilitate my review. All opinions are 100% my own.*

While you may not want to think about how quickly the holidays are approaching, they will be here before you know it. It is already time to planning holiday gifts, especially for children. I always have a hard time choosing the best gifts for my kids.

My kid have so many toys already. I always try to get things that first and foremost, they will love. In addition, though, I would like toys that are great for solo play and for sharing and family play. I want toys that encourage creativity and ingenuity. I want something that helps with problem solving and fine motor skills, especially with my son's autism.

My children need no help making noise, so a toy that is quiet is a huge asset. And of course, the toy needs to be well made and durable. As a bonus, it is always nice to find something that does not get tedious and boring for my husband and me when we are playing with them, though as long as they are having fun, we are happy enough to play along.

It is not easy to find one toy that fits all these preferences, and even harder to find one that both kids will actually like. Which is why I was so excited to discover ClickBlock. ClickBlock is a building set containing 2D and 3D magnetic components or "X-Bar" magnetic bars and balls. Since they are not pronged like block sets, the designs do not have to be stiff or limited.

I got my kiddos the X-Bar CityScape Set for Christmas. I know that they will love it. I love that there are 100 pieces, so there is plenty for them to both play without fighting and even for us to play as a family.

I also love that all the pieces are over 3cm, meaning they are impossible for kids to swallow. Even though my kids are 4 and 8, that is very important since my son is autistic and likes to put everything in his mouth, and my daughter loves to copy him.

I look forward to many hours of quiet, educational fun with ClickBlock, and I can't wait to see my children's happy faces on Christmas morning when they open this gift. I know they will love it. I am not always sure about gifts until I see the reaction, but I know this one will be a hit.

If you have a creative child, or want to encourage creativity, self-expression, problem solving, spatial reasoning, or fine motor skills ClickBlock should definitely be on your shopping list this holiday season.
