Mohawk Home Afton Antique Area Rug Review. Plus a GIVEAWAY!!

If you read my last review of Mohawk Home Area Rugs, then you already know how beautifully they transformed each of my children's rooms.

They are still looking perfect(with my kids that is a miracle). I  love how gorgeous, high quality and durable they are. They are by far the best rugs I have ever owned.

I was(and am) so impressed with the kids' rugs that I decided to get one for our living room as well.

Even though I already knew how high quality Mohawk Rugs are, the sight of my new 8' x 10' Afton Antique Area Rug still took my breath away. It is stunning.

I cannot believe the amazing difference it made in the appearance of my living room. It looks so much better. I never imagined just one rug could make such a big improvement. I should have done this sooner.

Look at the before and after pictures(multiple angles) and see how incredible it is.

 

I love how perfectly this design compliments my "decor". I am definitely not the interior designer type, but I know what I like and mostly what goes well together, and this could not be any better in my opinion. Anything that matched more would be over matching and make the room look boring.

I love chocolate brown. It is probably my favorite neutral, and it is my absolute favorite color for furniture(as you can see) and decor. And my all time favorite color is blue. This is a beautiful, timeless shade that brings an unrivaled, welcoming, elegance.

The photos truly do not do justice to how stylish, tasteful and high quality this rug is.

Each pattern is wonderfully unique, yet they come together to create a magnificent work of rug art. I adore this design so much.

And any Mohawk rug, the quality is just as impressive as it's beauty. This rug is fantastic.

It is stain and fade resistant so it will stand up to the big messes of my little ones. It has a rubbery backing to ensure it does not slide(probably my favorite feature because sliding rugs can be very dangerous).

It is the perfect size for my living room. It covers most of the open space making it padded(therefore safer and more comfortable) for the kids, but it is not so big as to looks out of place.

It is moderately thin, which I like. It makes it a better transition for easier walking. With young, reckless, kiddos, I don't want my rug to be like a speed bump. They should be able to easily walk(or even run) without tripping on the rug.

It is not "thin" though, it is still very plush and offers great padding and comfort on feet, and is even very comfortable to sit or lay down on. With most rugs(and even carpeting) it is torture for me to sit on the floor. This amazing rug seriously makes it not only bearable, but enjoyable.

The kids certainly love to play on it.

I know that this rug will be host to many games, stories and family moments for many years to come. I am looking forward to all the memories that will be made here.
